Iona

Our host was reachable and very helpful throughout our stay. We would like to come back again in December.

Pros: Warm, cosy and welcoming. Loved the location very close to local amenities

Great house, great location.

Pros: Lovely home, kitted out with everything you need. The beds are so comfy!! Fab location - quiet but only 5/10 minutes walk away from the train station, Stirling Castle, shops, takeaways, etc. Convenience store right across the road. Fabulous host, great communication. Would happily book to stay at Iona again.

We had a very comfortable stay here, it was clean and well appointed. We will definitely return

Stirling for New Year

Pros: The location was great, excluding the supermarket, we managed to walk to all we needed including Brea Restaurant for our New years Eve Dinner. The host new we were arriving late so had the heating system running so it was cosy when we walked in, very thoughful. The beds were great and comfy.

Cons: The house was perfect for our needs but I felt the ensuite bathroom needed a place for you to put your toiletries. Ditch the fake plants and leave an empty shelf for the guest. I have never been asked to take the rubbish bins out on my holiday. Being in a foreign country and trying to work out the recycle process was tricky even with written and photograpic instructions.

Pros: Iona was central to the town and sites and the house had all we needed for a comfortable stay. Accessing the property was straightforward.

Cons: I thought the request to strip and fold our bed linen was unnecessary given that we were charged a cleaning fee in addition to the tariff. Taking the garbage out as requested was not a problem. I spent some time texting our host each day to make sure that we had parking arranged in a very restricted part of town. There was nowhere to put my suitcase except on the floor and there was a tiny basin in the bathroom and no available shelving.

Pros: The location was excellent. An easy walk to all the sites and restaurants. Sterling Castle was a 5 minute walk up the hill. The house was stocked with everything you could possibly need and the beds were extremely comfortable. I had a hard time dragging my husband out of bed the next morning! Would highly recommend.

Pros: My wife and I and our two adult sons were in Stirling for a wedding and short holiday. Our stay at Iona House was a great choice. Well presented end of terrace. Good, central location. Professional and caring support throughout. Super comfy beds. On street parking arranged by host at no additional cost.

Really terrific place to stay.

Pros: We were a group of four travelling together and found the property very spacious and well set up. Having two bathrooms was great. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone travelling to Stirling. Great welcome pack. Nice little pub across the road with some very good live music. The property is up a hill.

Fabulous location, with the oldest pub in Stirling straight across the road.

Pros: The cottage was superb. A lovely size, extremely well appointed with everything you need. Wonderful big comfy beds. It even has a secret garden. Kirsteen was very welcoming, rang me on arrival.

Cons: The hills. Irvine Place is on a very steep hill, not easy to walk up after a long journey pulling a suitcase. Would recommend getting a taxi from the station.

A memorable stay. Loved it!

Pros: Carole was a fabulous host. Appreciated her checking in with us during our month long stay. She was very easy to contact and would get back to me quickly. The location of Iona was great, the house quite comfortable with everything needed for our stay. We loved the “Secret Garden” and appreciated the chrome cast ability for Netflix and Prime. We would definitely stay again if ever in the area.
