Rutland cottage

Pros: Marie the host is a very lovely person very helpful lives couple of minutes away so on hand if needed. Lovely cottage with enclosed gardens all round perfect for pets. Parking plot outside gate. Well stocked kitchen with everything you need utensils washing machine fridge/freezer cooker etc. Bedding lovely and clean plenty of storage cupboard for clothes etc.Rooms are a good size.

Cons: The only things that I could fault was the draughts coming through windows you would expect this from an old cottage but some windows wouldn't close properly. Could also do with redecorating throughout paint flaking off walls old damp patches on ceiling but we did book outside of season and I'm sure Marie will have all this in hand.

Pros: I love that it's on its own with garden and dogs are allowed

Pros: Lovely cottage. Plenty of room. Very well equipped. Clean and tidy. Warm and welcoming. Central location.

Pros: Quirky, full of character cottage, beautiful garden, well equipped. Plenty of bedding, towels etc. great communication from hosts. Very much appreciated the parking just outside the cottage. Easy to get in. Heating and hot water was really good. Great shower, comfy beds, spacious kitchen. Very quiet and no light pollution at night which was lovely.

Cons: Loved everything, the only thing I can think of is that we are a family of five but there were only 3 chairs at the kitchen table. Didn't cause us a big problem, we used the chairs from each of the bedrooms.

Hidden gem in largs

Pros: The location was fantastic the cottage was tucked away in a gorgeous garden at the side of a lane with a 2 minute walk to the sea..

Cons: It could do with a lick of paint and an upgrade bit old fashioned but this adds to the charm

Cons: Short walk to beach kilburn down the road great for grand kids

Cosy cottage with a colourful garden in a great location in Largs.

Pros: Convenient location in Largs for the sea front, ferry to Millport, train and Blackshaw Barns wedding venue. Cosy cottage with a colourful garden. Host was very helpful and great communication. Pet friendly.

Another fabulous visit

Pros: Perfect location, close enough to walk into the town in one direction or along the beach in the other. I love being able to park and then not use the car for a few days. Secure garden for the dogs who are always happy to be back in Largs.

Pros: Great place! Clean, quiet and cosy, perfect location and lovely garden. We had a great time!
