Newton Cottage South

Pros: The view from the cottage is stunning. It was within walking distance to everything. The back garden is lovely. The owners communication was great and very helpful.

Cons: A tiny detail, but shower gel would be a nice touch.

Very comfortable. Picturesque and homely, with all the facilities we needed for a short stay.

Pros: Location is perfect. Short stroll to Inveraray and a shorter stroll to the Co-op. A superb base to strike into the West of Scotland, from Oban to Campbeltown. The views from the property are amazing, with the Loch literally across the road and mountains in the near distance. Inverary Castle is well worth a visit, as is the George, for dinner.

Cons: My only comment would be that the property is on the main road (which i knew beforehand) and this road is busy with cars, lorries, and buses. Could be a little noisy at the front of the house early in the morning, but knowing this, I still booked, as the location is fantastic!

Perfect cosy cottage in an exceptional location.

Pros: Glorious location. The view breathtaking out of the front windows. Everything we needed for a cosy February stay. The wood burning stove was so lovely every evening ( and one particularly chilly morning!) Well equipped kitchen & the beds are so confirm and cosy. Our second visit here & we definitely will be back x

Cons: Absolutely nothing.

Fantastic stay - autumn colours were beautiful

Pros: The location of the property was stunning. Right on the banks of the Loch and a short walk into the village centre. We loved having a fire each evening, which made the cottage super cosy.

Cons: The small bedroom was very small (I know this can't be helped in an old cottage). We were all over 6ft so it was a bit of a struggle.

Nice cottage in a beautiful landscape

Pros: The cottage is comfortable and cosy, you've got everything you need, very comfy beds. In the back there is a nice little garden. The view from the cottage across the Loch is stunning.

Cons: Please be aware that the cottage is located directly on the main road which means that there is a lot of noisy traffic, often until midnight. One of the two bedrooms faces the road, so you will have to draw matches. There was an unpleasant smell in the cottage coming from the oil heating ventilation pipe outside the veranda door.

The house was well positioned and comfortable with a beautiful outlook.

Pros: The keys were available on arrival in the keysafe - all very simple

Wonderful location & cosy accommodation

Pros: Cosy, everything we needed for a long weekend away . Very comfortable beds , well equipped kitchen & it was great having the log burner for cosy evenings .

Lovely lochside cottage

Pros: The view is stunning, especially.from front bedroom. It was very tidy and clean. Great location overlooking the Loch and close to the centre.

Cons: The owner left a bottle of wine and shortbread. However, a few provisions in the fridge ie milk, eggs, bread (every cottage I have stayed in provides this) would have been more appreciated.

Pros: Loved the view and the nearness to the town..Good base for visiting nearby attractions,would definately go again.

Cons: We didn't like the wood burning stove, it didn't give out much heat.That may have been the fault of the wood provided.

Hübsches kleines Cottage

Pros: Das Cottage war sehr gemütlich und schön eingerichtet mit vielen hübschen Details. Es war alles da, was man brauchte. Es gab u. a. ein Regal mit DVDs und einen DVD Player, einen Kaminofen, Waschmaschine, Trockner und Geschirrspüler und eine Nespresso Maschine mit Kapseln. Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es auch. Hinter dem Haus ist ein schöner Garten, vor dem Haus liegt Loch Fyne. Zum Supermarkt und in den Ort sind es nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß, Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants und ein schöner Pub sind gut erreichbar.

Cons: Vor dem Haus verläuft die Hauptstraße, man hört den Verkehr auch bei geschlossenen Fenstern. Ein Schlafzimmer liegt zur Straße hin (das andere zur ruhigen Gartenseite). Wir würden das Cottage trotzdem jederzeit wieder buchen.
