Ballat Smithy Cottage

Pros: We liked the lounge and being able to relax after a full day out. The kitchen had all the amenities needed to prepare meals and with a table and chairs to comfortable dine in the open plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area. Located in central Scotland, we were well connected to reach many places across the country. Having an EV charger was perfect to charge overnight and get going again the following day. One tip, most of the charging happens after midnight, so don't stress if you don't see much progress during the day and evening.

Cons: Driving out of the parking space was a little difficult as visibility was a bit tricky. The cottage is remote with no option to walk to a nearby pub.

Pros: The location of the cottage because it was a good base for exploring around Loch Lomond and further afield.There are several small supermarkets so it's convenient to pick up groceries on the way home after a day exploring.The cottage is very well equipped,cosy and comfortable and has a tumble dryer and an EV charging point.The owner is very kind to provide a generous welcome pack.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ballat Smithy and would highly recommend it to friends& family

Cons: There wasn't anything we didn't like but maybe some cushions for the bench in the seating area at the side of the cottage would enhance the property even more.

An absolute gem just south of Loch Lomond.

Pros: There was nothing not to like. An immaculate and very well equipped little cottage close to the southern end of Lovh Lomond with Drymen close by for restaurants and inns for evening meals. Anne is a fantastic and very helpful host. Everything you’d wish for for a lovely stay in Scotland.

Cons: There is nothing not to like and we’d return at any time.

Would book again.

Nice and cosy cottage

Pros: It was a very nice, clean and cosy cottage. The host had prepared a package of delicious local food, which was much appreciated. Also providing a Chrome app that could be used offline and contained lots and lots of information was very helpful. Quite some walks and sightseeing in the neighbourhood (but car needed to reach them).

Cons: The cottage is located directly alongside the busy A811 road, and the traffic sounds kept us awake. Nothing that can be done about that. WIFI reception was not very strong, probably because the main point was in the cleaning store and the walls are thick. Better put it in the living area? Also all the instructions were translated into Dutch using Google Translate, but that gave quite some formulation oddities. I'd prefer the original English ;-)

Pros: Gute Ausstattung, gemütliches Wohnzimmer, nette Vermieterin, Wallbox vorhanden.

Cons: Direkt an der Landstraße gelegen. Außenbereich daher nicht nutzbar. Kein Ausblick. Kein Garten. Freisitz veraltet. Insgesamt etwas abgelegen.

Pros: Die geschmackvolle Einrichtung, das leckere Brot die liebevoll gestaltete Umgebung
