Charming Cottage Stay, Just a Hassle with the Damage Deposit

Pros: High quality furnishings and comfortable beds, all the utensils we needed were on hand. The remote location is what we were looking for, and the stay was very enjoyable.

Cons: The damage deposit policy felt absurd. Being required to pay an additional £100 well in advance (else the reservation will be cancelled), when one night costs £315, is very inconvenient. We use Booking.com for a fast and smooth booking experience, so these extra steps were disappointing. That said, the depost was refunded 3 days after check-out.

Stunning cottage

Pros: Beautiful surroundings and lovely walks. Very comfortable with everything you need. Quick drive to nearest supermarket and easy to find. Absolutely recommend.

Pros: Beautifully restored cottage in absolute tranquility- very comfortable and extremely clean. Would love to return.

Cons: Hadn’t realised there was no dishwasher.

Pros: An idyllic setting in a super comfortable and opulent property.

Cons: We felt that the £40 hamper was over priced although we appreciate the quality of the contents sourced from their farm shop and the fact that it was delivered ready for our arrival. Our deposit was paid and held for a month before it's return which we felt was lengthy.

Perfect location for Christmas for our extended family with easy access from Glasgow airport

Excellent stay, beautiful location, stunning cottage.

Pros: The location was stunning, in a country estate. We all went for a beautiful walk around the state, which was peaceful and calming. The cottage was immaculate, furnished to very high standards. Everything you could possibly need was provided. The hosts were excellent, helpful, communicative but not intrusive. The directions and access to the key were clear and there was no issues accessing. We had the option to add a basket of fresh food and preserves, which we did, it was excellent.

Cons: We have no complaints.

Cons: They charged £16 a night for my dog so £48 for 3 nights but didn’t provide a bowl or bed for the dog

This was a last minute booking, and gave us a private and peaceful and enabled us to re-charge.

Pros: Food was not included, which we knew, this was self catering.

Cons: We liked everything, luxury, peace and tranquility after touring around the area

It was an idyllic place to spend a few days.

Pros: It was so beautiful, the property was lovely and the cottage itself was perfect. Very clean with everything we needed. Nice kitchen, livingroom and bedrooms.
