Cromla Cottage

A lovely, roomy and comfortable cottage.Thankyou

Pros: Comfortable and big enough for a group. Lovely situation.

Cons: With multiple cars, driveway wasn’t easy due to tree stump.

Enjoyable

Pros: House was Homley and had everything you would expect. House was an ideal size for a family of 5 or 6 people.

Cons: Drive is narrow and hard to navigate back down.

A relaxing break in a lovely setting, but let down by the level of cleanliness we experienced.

Pros: The location was great. The cottage belonged to my grandparents for many years so it was lovely to be back there and remember such good times.

Cons: The general level of cleanliness and house keeping was disappointing. The floor of the en-suite off the yellow room was dirty - it needs a good scrub. There were several blankets over the living room chairs which smelt of dogs so should be washed or replaced every time so clean for the next occupants. The skirting generally and window sills in the conservatory were dusty and there were several cobwebs in the upper corners of doorways and also in the bedrooms. In the blue room the spaces behind and around the bedside cabinets hadn’t been hoovered. It was impossible to get the front door to lock from the outside so we had to exit through the conservatory each time.

Relaxing and comfortable

Pros: Well equipped, unusual layout made it fun, good views.

Overall we were very pleased with our stay.

Pros: Very cosy and we like the small room between bedrooms.

Cons: One family member is 6ft 4in and kept banging his head through door ways!! Not property fault just the way it is! Oh, had to park car across road as driveway too narrow, perhaps owner could widen it?

Great cottage

Pros: The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a great holiday. The proximity to The Corrie Hotel and Mara Restaurant was a bonus.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: The location was perfect. The cottage was comfortable and very attractive. Everything we needed was provided, especially kitchen equipment. I very much appreciated the coffee pods

Cons: The hot water for kitchen sink and wash basins was not hot enough. The shower in the downstairs bedroom could not be used as water flooded the floor. The drive to the house was narrow and difficult to negotiate. Not really room to turn round at the top.

Cromla Cottage

Pros: Location but without a car limited travel possible due to bus timetable. Perfect for food and pub. Very quiet and peaceful.

Cons: Dodgy pipe system re toilets. If you know what I mean. Stairs to upstairs rooms hazardous and not suitable for disabled. Toilet and shower facilities both down stairs.

A quaint period cottage well located for walking, close to a pub/hotel and a little seafood bistro.

Pros: A nice little period property well located for hotel/pub and little bistro. A bonus was two twin rooms in addition to a double specially appreciated for accommodating a group of friends.

Cons: The ensuite wet room tended to leak onto the bedroom carpet as there was no water bar to stop it. The access drive is very tight which made turning a vehicle (unless extremely small) or reversing down onto the road quite challenging.
