Loch Lomond shore Boat House

Pros: The location was incredible. Place was clean and tidy and the bed was extremely comfortable. The log burner was great and made the place very warm and cosy. Our dogs loved the garden and the fact they could run around safely most of the day and night. The outdoor hammocks were comfortable and a nice touch to sit and watch the ducks.

Amazing so peaceful just what we needed !!

Pros: From the minute arrived we went through the private gated property it felt so peaceful and beautiful spacious gardens private jetty stunning views plenty space for our dogs to wonder around without worrying they could escape, the property was lovely clean everything you need was there. The comfiest huge bed was key !!! Wood fire was a bonus so cosy & warm at night cooking facilities were easy to use. We will definitely go back here, the host was just a phone call away if you needed anything.

Pros: Charming character lodge, beautiful location by the loch and gardens

Cons: Toilet flush was too high for children to use. The logs for the fire were chopped too large to fit in the burner, and the axe was too blunt to split any of the logs. Also, the espresso machine is broken and leaks water everywhere when used.

Pros: The location and privacy were amazing. Access instructions were perfect. Bed and pillows were the comfiest I've ever had away from home. Quiet location, just what we needed Hot water was a bit hit and miss, but contact with the owner soon sorted it

Cons: A mirror in the bedroom area would be welcome for ladies drying hair had to use my phone on camera mode A plug for the bath and a chain on bathroom sink plug Hot water without having to ask owner to reset boiler

Pros: Such a beautiful and private property. We visited with my younger brother who is eight and small dog. They both played outside untill dark. It’s completely gated off with stunning views and secret gardens with little streams. Couldn’t ask for anything better so peaceful and relaxing.

Would be great to experience it in the summer also as area is for any season

A beautifully decorated homely lodge in a peaceful private location. Ideal for a relaxing break.

Pros: The simple rustic but very smart decor with mix of stonework, brick and solid wood created a wonderfully natural homely atmosphere. We loved the woodburning stove with ready supply of logs, the private peaceful setting and beautiful garden reaching down to the loch. Lovely under cover outside area to enjoy the fresh air and garden in all weathers. Near to lots of walks and the wonderful Oak Tree Inn at Balmaha.

Cons: No microwave but used saucepan to reheat. Could have done with more kindling to light the stove but bought firelighters. But neither of these facts spoilt a very successful and relaxing stay.

Pros: Everything about this place, the views, the private beach, the lodge itself, the location, the serenity was absolutely fantastic. Can’t recommend this enough. Exceeded all my expectations.
